Weekend Fun: Brambly Park Opening (Socially-Distanced, of Course)

I’m so bad with blogging. I keep saying I’m going to get better about my posts, and well…this one sat in draft mode for over a month. So that tells you alot right there. Anyway, I’m still sharing….Back on the first weekend in June, my girlfriends and I were dying to get out of the house. Virginia had just moved to “phase 2” of the reopening and we had heard of a new Wine Park that was opening in the Scott’s Addition neighborhood for the first weekend in June. Brambly Park is nestled in the back of Scott’s Addition at 1708 Belleville Street. Their website describes it as… “A secret garden of whimsical charm filled with eccentric characters socializing over farm tables filled with cheese and wine. A place to gather at the end of the day and revel in the camaraderie of friends and perfect strangers alike….”

I would say they did a great job of meeting the CDC guidlines for safety and social distance. All the tables were spaced out and masks were required to enter and move about the park. On each table was a QR code for guests to scan on their phones and it brought up the wine and food menu. The food menu was pretty limited at the time, but we enjoyed the meat and cheese trays. The wines were delicious. We had the Rose’, Reisling, and Sauvignon Blanc, and all three were refreshing and delicious in the summer sun. The overall fav was the Rose’ hands down. The wines also paired well with the meat and cheese trays. There was also some live music playing which was a vibe. It was a nice afternoon in Brambly Park. I need to venture back out and see what’s new. It’s been so hot though I think I will be waiting til the fall to go back. But once the weather cools, if you live in the RVA area or are visiting, you should definitely give it a try.
